Cisco Price Increase : January 30th 2022
Cisco have broken silence on what most people were expecting during these testing times with regards to a 10% increase across their range of hardware products due January 30th, 2022
The official statement reads as follows:
We have been doing everything we can to shield our partners and customers from the price increases impacting our industry, keeping their best interests in mind while also taking our business impact into account. The market conditions continue to evolve – the costs of certain components, as well as related manufacturing and shipping costs, have increased.
Cisco are raising our base pricing by approximately 10%, effective on the first day of Q3, January 30, 2022.
We do not make these decisions lightly and pride ourselves on being transparent, competitive, and partner centric – A few important notes on this decision:
We are raising our base pricing by approximately 10% effective January 30, 2022 – 10% is the average across the entire portfolio; some products will fall above or below this threshold, and others – such as all SaaS products – will be exempt entirely
These changes reflect market conditions, including rising manufacturing and component costs
Our standard 30-day price protection applies to all quotes approved prior to January 30, 2022
There is no change to our policy on price protection
Thank you for your continued partnership and trust.
How will this Cisco price increase affect you?
It will affect any DID that has price protection expiring before the end of this month.
The important thing is the “PRICE PROTECTION EXPIRY DATE” in the DID. If that is a date in February / March, before the list prices increase, and you do not touch that DID at all after the list prices increase, Cisco will give you that price.
With this important Cisco price increase information in mind if you have any projects or hardware requests pending then now would be the best time to action any purchases before the pending price increase.
